McAllen Texas, A Good Place to Start and Prepare for the Future. To Pinoy’s, little is known about the semi-tropical paradise at the Southern most tip of Texas otherwise known as the Rio Grande Valley. It is a compact contiguity of the towns and cities of McAllen, Edinburg, Harlingen, Weslaco, Mission, Brownsville, Los Fresnos, Hidalgo City, San Juan, Pharr, Donna and Alamo.

If you live in Japan and you're into science and technology, you might be interested in joining the Science and Technology Advisory Council - Japan Chapter (STAC-Japan) organization. STAC-Japan was formed by the alliance of engineers and scientists on December 3, 1995 in Tokyo, Japan. STAC-Japan was born in response to Executive Order No. 239 which reorganized the Department of Foreign Affairs in July 1987 mandating the Secretary of Foreign Affairs the authority to create advisory boards and committees as he may deem necessary to assist and provide him advice in the formulation of substantive policies.

Being a Filipino in a foreign land, one of the things that surprises me are the sunflowers during summer time. There are sunflowers in Philippines but not as big round types that I most often see in foreign movies. Having grown in Manila, I do not have much opportunity to see a garden full of flowers, except during my trip in Baguio.
