Featuring "Cultura Filipiniana of Central Texas Dance Troupe", Special Guest Singer “Mr. Jun Battad” of Dallas, TX and a Special Guest Performers “Katutubo Dancers” of Tropical Productions from Austin, TX. Barrio Fiesta is a Filipino tradition where lavish preparation of music, songs, dances, foods, games and procession, highlights this joyous town occasion. The atmosphere brings you back to the extravagantly prepared event and demonstrates the camaraderie of the folks whose main purpose is to share the Filipino character of hospitality as well as to impart the arts and culture of the Philippines. The Cultura Filipiniana will feature the Philippines with its diversified ethnic groups. They will perform and entertain you through a repertoire of music and dances. Our special guest singer, Jun Battad, will entertain the audience with his mentholated voice. The Katutubo Dancers will feature an Igorot Dance from the northern part of the Philippines. Directions to Event: From IH35, exit US190 (exit #293A) to Killeen/Fort Hood, follow US190W for about 13-15 miles, then exit Trimmier/Jasper Road. Howard Johnson Hotel will be on the right after the traffic light.

I'm actually in Temple which is a good 30 minutes away from Killeen.  Dallas would be a good 2 hours drive away while Austin would be an hour.

Come to think of it, this affair falls on a Saturday.  Maybe a bunch of us in this group can come out and have an EB or something.  Lunch would be nice.  What do you think?  But we need more than you and me to get a crowd going. lol
