If you live in Japan and you're into science and technology, you might be interested in joining the Science and Technology Advisory Council - Japan Chapter (STAC-Japan) organization.STAC-Japan was formed by the alliance of engineers and scientists on December 3, 1995 in Tokyo, Japan. STAC-Japan was born in response to Executive Order No. 239 which reorganized the Department of Foreign Affairs in July 1987 mandating the Secretary of Foreign Affairs the authority to create advisory boards and committees as he may deem necessary to assist and provide him advice in the formulation of substantive policies. Its current membership include students, professionals and other Filipino individuals staying in Japan who are interested and willing in advancing science and technology and advocating it as an inevitable tool for Philippine development. Interested parties may apply by sending a message to the email address located below. The STACJ secretary will then send an email invitation along with the information about STACJ. Upon submission of the application form, the applicant's email address will be added to the STACJ egroups. Link: |
