Filipiniana Tagaytay, world-class leisure estate along Kilometer 69 of the Tagaytay national highway in Laurel, Batangas, with the rarity of a total Filipino-inspired design, is anticipated to contribute notably to the country's tourism program and socio-economic development. Retiring Filipinos working abroad or Filipino-Americans, balikbayans with dual citizenship, and even expatriates already living in the Philippines, or even foreigners who mull over the country as their second home, will mainly benefit from this.

Filipiniana Tagaytay, initially dubbed as Alay sa Lahing Pilipino, will make use of 100-percent Filipino architectural theme. Almost 60 percent of the area is dedicated to a Nature theme park in total harmony with the rolling contours of the Tagaytay ridge, revitalizing mountain breeze and the imposing view of Taal Lake and the volcano. It integrates an all-Filipino culture-inspired vacation resort with the facilities and services of a hotel, condotel, town center, and Nature theme park, with a forest park, campsite, aviary, eco-park, cable car, nature trail, amphitheater and other facilities according to Rep. Rodolfo Valencia, chairman of the tourism committee on international promotions.

Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace Durano held, "the Philippines is an ideal location for the development of tourism estates as the archipelago is blessed and endowed with expansive mountain ranges, forest reserves, sun-kissed beaches and lush verdant hills that are perfect for these types of development".

Filipiniana Tagaytay Properties Inc., with the mission to awaken people on the value of the environment was earlier lauded by President Arroyo. "Ultimately it is destined to become a prime tourist attraction to showcase the best in Filipino culture, heritage and tradition", she added.
