Getting an IT-related job in Japan is difficult especially for non-japanese speakers. Coming to Japan and taking your chances is pretty difficult especially for fresh graduate. So if you are thinking of flying to Japan and taking your chances, I suggest you following tips.1. Study basic japanese and take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). The JLPT consists of four levels, levels 1-4. The easiest level is level 4 and the hardest is level 1. The exam is hold every year around the beginning of December. The test consists of kanji, vocabularies, listening, grammar, and reading comprehension. For more information, click here . 2. Take Japan IT Standards Examination(JITSE). JITSE is a Japanese certification exam given by JITEC Japan. In Japan, the same exam is taken by 250,000 Japanese IT workers each year. The exam consists mainly of 2 parts, IT concepts and programming; all questions are in multiple choice. The exam is usually given twice a year, once in April and another in October. For more information, click on this link. 3. Join a Japanese firm near your area and get work experience. By doin so, it increases your chance to get assigned to Japan for a project. Here are some of the Japanese IT companies in Metro Manila, ADTX, Asking Philippines, Astra Inc, Tsukiden, Fujitsu, Canon, etc. |
