Junior Software Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop middleware applications to communicate and transform data in real-time between various disparate systems using diverse APIs
• Develop customer facing applications / reporting portals
• Develop web based applications for process automation and conversion from paper based systems.
• Data migration from various databases
• Data cleaning and mining such as CRM data or customer data
• Documentation of development activities including user guides and support processes
• Estimating project times accurately and delivering the project within the time frame.
• Dealing directly with 3rd party’s to understand the project requirements, and conversing to refine any additional changes. 
• Documenting and keeping a detail work journal and auditable log.
• Effective reporting directly to manager on a regular basis

Qualifications:

{C}·         Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development such as Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Applications Development, etc.

{C}·         .NET Developer Experience – 1-3 years handling multiple projects at once

{C}·         Object-oriented programming experience – 1-3 years

{C}·         Web services programming experience – 1-3 years

{C}·         Web-based application / UI development – 1+ years

{C}·         Database Platform Integration / Development

{C}o   {C}Microsoft SQL 2005 or later – working knowledge or 1+ years

{C}·         General application administration such as application upgrades / admin is a plus

{C}·         AJAX, HTML5.0+, PERL/PHP, Ruby on Rails would be advantageous

{C}·         Multimedia/ Streaming experience is a plus

{C}·         LAMP or WAMP stack development would be advantageous

{C}·         Social Media integration like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and others is a plus

{C}·         Web Base Application / UI development would be advantageous

{C}·         API Languages Experience / Certification is a plus

{C}o   {C}RESTful

{C}o   {C}SOAP

{C}o   {C}XML

{C}·         Development Standards and Practices would be advantageous

{C}o   {C}AGILE Development Methodology

{C}o   ITIL Standards and/or certification

{C}·         Experience with any of the following applications is a plus;

{C}o   Microsoft SharePoint

{C}o   Microsoft Dynamix CRM

{C}o   Sugar CRM

Communication

This role will regularly require communication with external parties via Email, Video and Voice, so it is important this person is well versed in English and a confident communicator.

Work hours

This role will require shift work 24x7 Australian Eastern Standard Time, 45 hours per week.
