Scrum Master

The Scrum Master will be part of the Offshore Development Team located in Makati. The successful candidate will be responsible in ensuring development team efficiency through the Agile Scrum process and ensure it is followed through facilitation, coaching and mentoring. He / She will facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and daily scrum meeting as well as, problem solving.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the Agile Scrum Process and ensure it is adhered to.
• Actively participate in sprint planning;
• Assist in splitting user stories and estimates by facilitating planning poker sessions.
• Works closely with Quality Analysts and the Product owner to ensure that all stories are verified before end of the sprint.
• Reviews and improves the process (templates, XP, tools, etc).
• Coaches the team on agile values and philosophies.
• Helps mediate conflicts and resolve impediments.
• Maintain charts and any documentation related to the solution.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related discipline
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies with a minimum of 1 year experience
• Prior experience in Software Project Management is required
• Prior experience in cloud and/or web based technologies is required.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a highly dynamic, cross-functional environment, interacting with product owners, developers and quality analysts.
• Experience with Visual Studio Online (preferred) or Microsoft TFS
• Experience in Technical Writing (preferred)
