As XC racecourses have become more technically demanding, so XC race bikes have changed too; the Epic’s geometry is now longer, slacker and lower, with a 67.5° head angle for confidence on steep descents and tricky sections.

Shimano’s SLX 12-speed groupset and hydraulic disc brakes are highly dependable, giving reliable shifting and tireless braking in all conditions. The massive 10-51 cassette has low enough ratios for the steepest climbs without spinning out on the descents, so whether racing for a podium or a KOM the right gear is always to hand.

The Epic rolls on 29”x2.3” Specialized Fast Trak tyres on 25mm wide, tubeless-ready alloy rims so rolling resistance is low, grip high and tubeless conversion easy. The bike is finished with a selection of Specialized components and a Body Geometry saddle, along with an integrated SWAT EMT Cage-Mount Tool for any trail-side repairs.
