API 5L Line Pipe is dimensionally equivalent to A106 and A53 pipe, conforming to industry standard sizes , however it performs to different mechanical properties. One key defining characteristic of this pipe is its yield strength, where the two digit number following the pipe’s "X" grade indicates the Minimum Yield Strength (in 000's psi) of pipe produced to this grade (i.e. X52 Pipe).
