English Proofreading and Editing

Hello!

I would like to extend my English proofreading services to high school and college students, English-As-A-Second-Langauge learners, and professionals. Copy editing is something that excites me, but I'm even more passionate about helping others. That's why I would like to assist you with any English proofreading work you might need help with. 

About Me

I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Communication from New York University (NYU) in 2009.

I have over 10 years of experience in proofreading and developmental editing, working in various industries such as public health, law, academia, and advertising.

To date, I have edited:

- Over 50 undergraduate and graduate-level textbooks, particularly in the sciences and humanities.
- 60 nonfiction manuscripts.
- 45 novel and short fiction anthology manuscripts.
- 25 screenplays for film and television.
- Over 80 technical manuals, employee guidelines, white papers and industry newsletters.
- Multiple websites (including copywriting) and UX writing for apps.

Methodology

I utilize Microsoft Word with the Track Changes function enabled. I use the most up-to-date Microsoft Office Suite programs for editing work. Not only do I proofread manuscripts and other text documents, I also copy edit Microsoft PowerPoint projects. If there is a presentation you need polished, send it my way and I’ll make sure you’ll wow and captivate your audience.

I’m capable of working with an wide range of house style guides, as well as with The Chicago Manual of Style, AP Stylebook, and the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA style guide).
