Transcriptionist (Legal / Medical)

A Transcriptionist (Legal / Medical) transcribes content from an audio or video file (voice messages/recordings) and types the spoken content verbatim into a written transcript to create an account of that file and transform it into actual content. Apart from transcribing content, the work includes proofreading, formatting, and editing while working on deadlines and maintaining expected high quality transcripts. The role is also responsible for checking and verifying accuracy of information on the system, making necessary changes, and checking transcripts’ accuracy when necessary.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurate transcription of all word processing requests from authors in a timely manner
• Use correct template document where required and save all completed tasks in the system
• Transcribe audio recordings and complete all copy typing as required with high attention to detail and achieve 99% accuracy
• Ensuring any copy typing requests are done in a timely manner
• Accommodate urgent requests in requested time frame
• Provide prompt and professional client service at all times
• Contribute to a harmonious working environment and build good working relationships whilst adhering to systems, policies, and procedures at all times

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s/ College Degree in any field
• Previous transcription experience is required
• Legal/Medical transcription experience is an advantage
• Outstanding ability to multi-task and to successfully work under pressure or tight deadlines
• Must be keen on details with high level of data accuracy
• Passionate about meeting targets and delivering outstanding service to external and internal customers
• Advanced MS Office skills particularly MS Word
• At least 45 WPM typing speed with 99% accuracy
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent comprehension skills
• Accurate grammar and spelling with top notch listening skills
• Must demonstrate commitment to the company and client's core values and behavioural standards
• Reliable, willingness to learn, high integrity with positive attitude
• Must be willing to work in Makati / BGC in an early morning shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
